Here’s Why Rap And Hip Hop Is Not Dead

So when they; whomever they may be feels like rap and hip hop is dead, I can’t help self but to continue to show to prove them wrong. That goes some of y’all favorite major mainstream rap and hip hop artist’s too. You know, the one’s like Nas? Did he naught make that statement, and did he really mean it? Now, I will say that both are in crisis and a state of emergency, but never shall either die so long as a life line, and spark in artist’s such as I and those who continue to carry the torch for both rap and hip hop still continue to keep the fire in the art burning by showing otherwise by ones elevating light.

And even though, you have these new dudes coming out who show a good example of what happens when you dabble off into the commercial corporate world of the music industry. You can’t place all the blame on them, it is those who blindly build these dudes up only to see what reality looks like in the end when they are all used up and no longer are useful and needed and then comes the great fall.

People act like what is going on is something new, but it’s naught. It’s all like having cable. You seen these reruns before. Same ole’ song (Digital Underground Style) and soup warmed all over again, but now it’s a little different. And this is where artist’s such as self along with some other ones who you will find breathin’ on my new music CD drop “The Battle of the Mind Album.”

I felt the need to serve the people a taste of what to expect to manifest from the dark to the light of this album. Long awaited and anticipated and possible controversial project that took some year to put together 9 years. But why so long you might ask? Maybe because I possess a bit of the vision of Dr. Dre’? Maybe, and being that I do show an essence of how Dre’ would do (Put A Project Album on hold), I now see the importance to why even he would do such a thing. as an artist, and music producer those two alone are naught easy niches to be operating as. but for me it’s a little bit more to it than just that. Was it time for it come out years ago?

Maybe, maybe naught. But as I look, and think back on the moment the vision hit me, up to this point in time. Had I jumped the gun, and rushed this album out, it may naught have possessed the life, energy, balance and creative substance that it holds within each track. This isn’t about me, tooting my own horn. This is more about me being able to accomplish something that many of your favorites can naught say that they were able to do as a recording artist or music producer.

Can you imagine the mind, the stress, the depression, the setbacks, the frustration that an artist, and music producer takes on when trying to figure out what and how? I feel like I should have been had a nervous breakdown a long time ago. 🙁 But I think if you the reader are able to see where I’m coming from, you would now see why the title in itself fits naught only the vision, but also the time. You have to be very honest with self and in order to see how important this album is. All of the things that are going on in these days of time how could anyone find any focus whether you are a rap recording artist, hip hop artist, music producer and or just a musician alone.

That again I say is an example of the battle of the mind is it naught? Let me give you a quick story on what happened earlier. Young guy trying to get change out of people. I know that he about to ask me next, so I beat him to the punch and asked for .50. And guess what, he actually gave me .50, but before he did he asked “what you gone do for me?” and that’s when I hitt’em with the taste CD. But then it got deeper. moments later I watched him get arrested at the store for trespassing. #CanUImagine? Deep huh. What was the chances though, and was this a coincidence?

A shakeup wake up for him possibly? maybe, maybe naught, but it’s all possible. So this is why I choose to do what I do, and how I do because it’s bigger than you and I. It’s deeper than rap. I just doing what was asked of me, to reach serve knowledge and music for awareness. So here So the next time someone says that there is no real rap and hip hop coming out, you look them straight in the eyes, and say: “You must never heard of the rap recording artist Adam the Great.” Enjoy the tracks, the content and may you have found it worth the time taken to read, listen and experience the work of the artist 4 the people.
